Our mission

Our mission is to help those who fly solo.

Independent work is real work. The designers, developers, writers, and founders who chose themselves built real businesses and took real risk. They deserve the same benefits floor as anyone with a salaried job.

Health insurance, retirement, the perks that come with belonging to a group — not marketplace afterthoughts and patchwork plans pieced together from whatever happens to be available.

Flock pools the unbossed into one large, healthy group, with the same negotiating power as a Fortune 500 company. We're building the infrastructure that should have existed already, for everyone who chose themselves.

FAQs

Your questions,answered

01

Is this insurance?

Flock is a benefits platform that operates as a PEO. We pool you into group plans — including real insurance underwritten by major carriers.

02

How is this cheaper than the marketplace?

Group risk pools. The same mechanism large employers use to get better rates — we just open it up to people who don't happen to work for one.

03

Am I a W-2 employee of Flock?

Optionally. If you want payroll, withholding, and W-2 status handled for you, we can do that. Otherwise you stay 1099 and just get access to the benefits.

04

What does it cost?

Pricing is in progress. Waitlist members get early access and founding-member rates when we open enrollment.

05

When does it launch?

We're rolling out by region. Joining the waitlist gets you first access in your area.
